Experience Working with Government Contractors
Ms. Velvick has more than thirteen years experience in working with small high-tech companies that
conduct business with the federal government. Jennifer's experience includes heavy involvement
in monthly accounting processing including: variance analysis, project costing, labor distribution,
allocation of overhead and indirect rate development. In addition, she develops internal policies
and procedures for many high tech companies. She also prepares and edits annual budgets,
cash flow projections, and handling the interface with government auditors. Those audits
consist of accounting system, proposal, billing rates, and incurred costs audits.
She also performs accounting installations and tech-support across the nation.
Jennifer has trained many Ph.D.s, scientists, engineers, controllers, CPAs and office managers
in the fundamentals of doing business with the government. This training is specialized
management services and accounting systems that are more complex than that of other
businesses because of the unique controls required for government contractors.
Since 1997, Jennifer has designed and developed three government accounting programs and
has successfully implemented these programs to play a key role in the success of many government contractors.
